'It’s Somewhere You Need To Be'

Janefrances Chukwu

Chemistry PhD student from Nigeria

When Janefrances Chukwu was researching universities in the U.S., the small town of Morgantown and WVU research caught her attention. That initial curiosity paved the way for her new life as a Mountaineer. Now that she’s a WVU student, she says she enjoys Morgantown just as much as she enjoys home, despite the colder weather.

She’s impressed with the research going on in her department and has had the opportunity to attend various faculty seminars. “They’re mind-blowing. And I think it’s something people need to get into. And if you have the opportunity to be at WVU, it’s somewhere you need to be,” Chukwu said.
