Why is there a hold on my account?
NSO and Advising Holds
The New Student Orientation hold is lifted within 3 days of completing the NSO modules and will be replaced with an advising hold. You will work with your adviser on any schedule changes.
All transfer students have an advising hold on their account. Your academic adviser will assist you in scheduling courses and getting this hold lifted.
Financial Holds
If you do not meet payment deadlines, you may have your account placed on financial hold by Student Accounts. Other offices, such as Parking or Student Conduct, can also place holds on your account. In these instances, please contact the appropriate office to resolve the hold. You can view the contact information when checking the status of your financial holds in the STAR.
