What is the student health Insurance waiver?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the student health Insurance waiver?

All domestic students enrolling in 6 or more credits, and international students with any number of credits, are required to have health insurance coverage.

Students may show proof of coverage by filing the student health insurance waiver (typically opens in June), or will be automatically enrolled in and billed for the WVU student health insurance plan.

The WVU student health insurance plan is available mid-term if a student loses their personal coverage and needs to enroll.
