Residence Hall Move-in
Thursday-Saturday, August 13-15
First-year undergraduate students move into residence halls August 13-15 during their scheduled 2-hour time slot.

Adventure, Wellness, and Service
August 14-23
Check out some of the many recreation and service opportunities in our area. All activities are free, with transportation provided.

Midnight Mountaineer
Friday, August 14
8 p.m. – 12 a.m., Student Rec Center
Midnight Mountaineer brings late-night fun to the Student Recreation Center with games, crafts, snacks, and prizes. You can try archery tag, pickleball, bingo, trivia, and more.

WVUp All Night
Saturday, August 15
10 p.m.-2 a.m., Mountainlair
Don’t miss the first WVUp All Night of the year! WVUp All Night is a free, late-night weekend program with free activities and free food.

Student Organization Fair
Sunday, August 16
2-4 p.m., Student Rec Center
Find student groups that match your interests, from academic-focused clubs to groups dedicated to your favorite hobby.

Sunday Night Lights
Sunday, August 16
7-10 p.m., Milan Puskar Stadium
First-time freshmen event
Experience what it means to be a Mountaineer! You’ll have the opportunity to sign your class flag, watch “The Pride of West Virginia” Mountaineer Marching Band perform its pregame show, meet new friends and, of course, get your official class photo taken in the state of West Virginia.

Academic Day Sessions
Monday, August 17
First-year undergraduate and transfer students will meet with faculty and administrators from their academic unit. Watch your MIX email for information from your college or school.

Mountaineer Midway and Movie
Monday, August 17
6-10 p.m., Life Sciences Building, Quad area
Bring your friends and make memories at one of Welcome Week’s biggest events. Mountaineer Midway features carnival games, food trucks, a Ferris wheel, and much more.

First Day of Classes
Tuesday, August 18
Your fall semester starts now. Look for our Ask Us Anything tents across campus. Our volunteers are ready to answer your questions!
