Tips for Attending

  • You’ll check in at the Hope Coliseum. Find your check-in gate.
  • Parking is available in the Hope Coliseum lots.
  • Transportation is provided throughout the event and returns you to the Hope Coliseum at the end of the program.
  • Come hungry: breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided.
  • Dress for the weather and wear comfy shoes.
  • Bring your questions.
  • Activate your WVU account before attending.
  • Optional Friday activities will be available.
  • Select Morgantown hotels offer discounts to Decide WVU guests.

Decide WVU Program

Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m., and activities end at 4 p.m. You’ll receive a detailed schedule with specific times and locations when you arrive.

8:30-9:15 a.m. Check-in and breakfast (free!) at Hope Coliseum. Find your check-in gate.

9:15-9:45 a.m. Good Morning Mountaineers

10 a.m.-Noon. Academic Sessions
Visit with students and experts from your academic area. Each academic college and school will hold its own academic session. Attend the session for the school or college that houses the major that you’ve been admitted into (hint: check your name tag during dismissals!).

11 a.m.-3 p.m. Lunch (also free!)
Lunch is on us! Use the meal ticket you receive at check-in to enjoy lunch. We recommend checking out one of our three dining halls while you’re on campus (Hatfield’s, Summit Café, or Café Evansdale)

11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Navigate WVU and Mountainlair Street Festival

11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Next Steps Pop-Up Offices

Note: If you have selected your housing already, you will have the opportunity to see a show room during New Student Orientation this summer.

12:30-4 p.m. Student Life Fest
Pick up your giveaway and free snacks! Stop by the WVU Coliseum to talk with representatives from student support services and student-led clubs and organizations. We’ll show you there’s something for everyone, from the Purpose Center to the REACH Student Success, Campus Recreation, a huge variety of student clubs/orgs, and more!

Afternoon Activities

11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Rec Fest
See current students playing pickleball, basketball, cornhole, spikeball, and sand volleyball outside the Student Rec Center. Enter the Decide WVU raffle for a chance to win a T-shirt or a Fall Intramural Sports PlayPass.

11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Explore Campus Spaces

  • Check out the WVU Craft Center in the basement of Braxton Hall.
  • Visit the Honors Residence Hall for Honors Hall Cookies and Conversations.
  • Stop in E. Moore Hall and see the Commuter Lounge.

11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Adventure WV Outdoor Education Center Open Hours
Stop by the Rec Center and tour WVU’s outdoor rental center. Learn about Adventure WV programs and first-year trips. Enter to win a free trip to Big Bend or the Florida Keys.
