
Supply Chain Management, BS/BSBA
Supply Chain Management is a very challenging major that prepares you to recognize and incorporate the systemic and global nature of supply chain operations in the decision-making process.
We offer two degree programs in Supply Chain Management: a STEM-designated Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Supply Chain Management.

BS in Supply Chain Management Science
The SCMS Program teaches you how to use data and management science to optimize supply chain systems. You’ll learn advanced techniques like operations research, optimization and data modeling, applied to sourcing, production, distribution, and reverse logistics. View BS Plan of Study.

Sourcing and Supply Management
GSCM 350
In this course, we will examine the main supply management and strategic sourcing activities, to include the purchasing process and organization of the supply management function, supplier selection and evaluation, negotiation and conflict resolution, ethical and legal issues, cost and price determination, value analysis, global and technological issues pertaining to supply management, among others.
Logistics and Distribution Management
GSCM 355
The course will focus on both business-to-business and business-to-consumer logistics operations. Activities from the receipt of a customer order to the satisfaction of that order will be covered. These activities include demand management, order receipt, order management, basic warehouse design, layout and operation, inventory management, transportation, returns and reverse logistics, and customer service.
Global Supply Chain Systems
GSCM 470
As a capstone course, you will be assigned to teams to work with companies in projects to solve their real SCM problems. All the knowledge you’ve learned about SCM will be utilized in this experiential learning process.
Honors
Expand your curiosity and enhance your curriculum through the WVU Honors College. Two programs are offered: Honors Foundations and Honors in Action.

Get involved outside the classroom.
Faculty will work with you to provide research opportunities, during which you interview executives in the field and explore the reality of supply chain management.
You may also enter small business plan competitions and access the services of the Encova Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
