Neuroscience, BS

The Neuroscience program at WVU allows students to explore nearly every facet of neuroscience and understand how the brain works, from molecules to behavior, while learning alongside passionate faculty mentors, engaging in hands-on labs, and participating in meaningful research from day 1. Students will have the ability to conduct undergraduate research with faculty mentors and have direct access to research facilities in the Departments of Biology, Psychology, and the nationally recognized WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, which is known for pioneering work in neurotechnology, mental health, and neurological diseases. With small class sizes of 15–35 students and hands-on, research-driven approach, the program gives students a competitive edge for top careers and graduate or professional programs. Whether aspiring to be a physician, researcher, therapist, tech innovator, or entrepreneur, WVU Neuroscience students don’t just learn about discoveries. They help create them and stand out in a world increasingly shaped by brain science.
