The objective of this program is an increased level of understanding of modern concepts and methodologies employed in genetic and developmental biological work and to prepare a student to pursue a career in teaching and/or research. Responsibility for a student’s program is vested in a graduate committee charged with arranging the student’s coursework, conducting examinations, and supervising the research.
Requirements
To be eligible for admission into a graduate program at WVU an applicant must submit official, bachelor's degree transcripts from a regionally accredited institution and hold a GPA of at least 2.75. WVU operates decentralized admissions. Decentralized admissions allows each graduate program to set its own application requirements in addition to the University requirements.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission into the Genetics and Developmental Biology graduate program an applicant must submit the following documentation:
- Letters of Recommendation - 3
- Statement of Purpose
- GRE
Additional considerations for applicants:
Only applications with all completed requirements will be considered for admission.
International applicants must also submit required materials for international applicants.
